Fusion MS-IP500 iPod stereo dock
Fusion represents a great way to add a soundtrack to every on-the-water outing.
Jun 26, 2008
Fusion, a worldwide leader in car and marine audio products, has introduced the MS-IP500 iPod stereo dock. Designed specifically for boating, the MS-IP500 protects your iPod in a waterproof compartment while on board, completely isolating it from salt spray. Fusion delivers clear audio sound that you can enjoy above the engine, wind and ambient noises typically associated with boating. Claiming its new marine audio dock is 40 percent more powerful than competitive units on the market, Fusion represents a great way to add a soundtrack to every on-the-water outing.

The fully marinized MS-IP500 conceals an iPod in its waterproof body and allows users to select and play songs by artist, song, album and genre directly through the stereo interface. The unit's faceplate flips down for easy iPod insertion and removal. Designed specifically for use while boating and underway, the Fusion System is Sirius Satellite Radio-ready and includes an AM/FM tuner. The  system supplies up to four zones, with an incredible 70 watts of  output power per zone. Available in metallic gray or white, the   new Fusion stereos are housed in a die-cast chassis that dissipates heat buildup.

Other specifications include a bright 3.2-inch FSTN transflective LCD display with variable backlight illumination, rotary volume knob, 12- or 24-hour clock, 70-watt power output, four-zone support, electronic bass, treble and balance control, 100 Hz base and 10 kH treble for clear sound reproduction and an auxiliary-in port for expansion capability. The Fusion MS-IP500 with iPod lists for $399. The MS-IP500 dock alone retails for $49. Find all Fusion products exclusively at West Marine. Fusion Electronics; www.fusionelectronics.com.
