Owners of 2007 and 2008 versions of Lowrance LMS and LCX sonar/GPS chart plotters and the GlobalMap GPS/chart plotters with 5-, 7-, 8.4- or 10.4-inch screens can now avail themselves of new software. Version 2.3.0 provides update support for Navionics Platinum cartography (this also applies to the inland version of Platinum.) The update also provides support for Lowrance's Broadband Sounder-1 system.
Available as a free download, the software adds new language support (Greek and Polish) and provides high-definition radome compatibility, radar/chart overlays, screen-snapshot-mode for capturing sonar and GPS screens, a new range of sonar presets, plus a few other niceties. Access the update at
