ENGEL greatly improves and strengthens the ice box
The most unique feature according to Paul Kabalin, President of ENGEL USA, is the unique drain plug which opens with one twist.
Aug 8, 2008

ENGEL - the world's leading brand of mobile, 12 Volt refrigeration, has launched its first rugged plastic coolers - with a unique patented design offering better performance and features than any other cooler.

ENGEL's new coolers offer over 40% more efficient insulation than conventional coolers - which means that ENGEL coolers keep ice longer - up to 10 days!  The coolers are made out of a tough rotationally molded polyethylene plastic - similar to a plastic kayak and with 2" of polyurethane insulation.

The hinges and latches are extremely rugged and built for the harshest environments.  The cooler has non-skid feet making them ideal for boats.  The lids have an airtight freezer gasket and can be locked shut with a padlock.

The most unique feature according to Paul Kabalin, President of ENGEL USA, is the unique drain plug which opens with one twist.  Unlike other coolers, the ENGEL floor is pitched towards the plug and will drain out all liquids completely.   The functionality and design he says, was a culmination of requests and feedback from our customers over the years and all we did was combine them into the new ENGEL line.

Four models are available ranging in size from 65qts to 320qts. with more models planned for 2009.  www.engel-usa.com
