Accurate Fishing has added the BV2-800 and BV2-800N (narrow version) two-speed lever-drag reels to its popular Valiant series. Built for offshore trolling and live-bait fishing with 80-pound braid (600 to 800 yards), the new conventionals feature compact aircraft-grade-aluminum nonflexing frames and Accurate’s patented TwinDrag system, delivering up to 36 pounds of pressure. The reels offer gear ratios of 5-to-1 high-speed (47 inches per crank) and 2.2-to-1 low-speed (21 inches per crank). The BV2-800N weighs 24 ounces; the BV2-800 weights 25 ounces. Both cost $649.95.
