As CHIRP sonar continues to evolve, Airmar Technology Corporation has developed a line of single-frequency-band CHIRP transducers, designed for use with single-band sounders. The nine new transducers include transom-mount and through-hull versions that will be available in many different frequency ranges, such as 95 to 155 kHz, 80 to 100 kHz, 85 to 135 kHz, and 150 to 250 kHz. The new ‘ducers will be built with ceramics from the proven dual-band CHIRP line. Prices range from $1,000 to $1,500.
