Sea Boss 235
Sea Boss comprises the new line of boats from Sea Pro for the budget-conscious buyer. However, smaller budget doesn’t, in this case, mean less quality. For example, the hand-laid fiberglass hull is bonded to a full-length inner liner and receives both positive buoyancy foam flotation and structural foam injection in the fiberglass stringers. The high-density composite transom will never suffer from water intrusion or rot. The self-bailing cockpit efficiently handles everything from green water to spray to water from the raw-water washdown. Sea Boss puts it all together well enough to be confident in providing each owner with a full seven-year, transferable hull warranty.
As you’d expect on an offshore center console, the Sea Boss 235 includes such features as a livewell with a bronze thru-hull, large fish boxes, loads of storage space, welded stainless-steel bow and console rails, plenty of rod storage in and beneath the gunwales, and no-feedback steering.
Sea Boss rates the 235 for a maximum of 300 hp. But the company suggests that 200 to 250 hp moves the boat perfectly well. The high, modified Carolina-style bow and high interior bulwarks assure your children’s safety. And at just $10.38 per pound, including the engine, that’s pretty darn reasonable.
