Tough times call for creative measures, and Sundance has met that challenge in several different ways. Its durable NX21 skiff needs only conservative power, which in turn saves money on fuel. And you can see from the specifications below, the upfront cost with power seems downright affordable in today’s marketplace.
The actual running surface of the NX21 seems remarkably narrow with its 35-degree entry. Yet it sports an almost Carolina-style flare to knock down spray, and that entry carves through nasty chop admirably when crossing the open waters of bays and river mouths. The NX21 also runs shallower than its older brethren thanks in part to a tunnel that channels water up to the prop, allowing the engine to mount higher.
Numerous other features bear mentioning. For example, the higher-than-average freeboard keeps small children aboard. Each NX21 comes with six vertical rod holders alongside the console, a standard swim ladder deployable from the water, insulated bait and release wells, a large dry-storage compartment, a very large anchor locker, pads for pedestal seats on the fore and aft decks, rigging for a bow-mounted trolling motor, drink holders, optional jump seats aft, pop-up cleats and lots more. Truly, the only real option I would choose without question would be the leaning post seat with rod holders in lieu of the standard cooler seat with the seat back that moves fore and aft.
In today’s trying times, we should all look for the most bang for our bucks. You could start with Sundance!
