NorthCoast boats—five cabin models and six center-consoles (some of those made in modified-V and deep-V versions)—have reverse chines for stability and aggressive longitudinal strakes for better performance.
NorthCoast, based in Rhode Island, is a division of C&C Marine, which has made hulls, decks and small parts for several boat brands.
NorthCoast 230CC Deep V
NorthCoast’s 230CC Deep V, with 21-degree deadrise, specializes in faster travel in bigger seas. Its wide reverse chines boost stability, and NorthCoast describes it as having “one of the most pleasing sheers on the water.” The bracket mounted Engine provides room for a live well and larger cockpit.
There’s storage within the forward casting -platform and in-deck, forward of the console, above which is a molded T-top with spreader light. The two-beanbag cockpit invites movable seating.
Standard are two illuminated, clear-topped livewells, totaling 35 gallons. The standard 11 rod holders include four gunwale-mounted, and you can add more, including swivel-butt rod holders.
The family might lobby for the forward cushions, an aft folding cockpit seat, a console head and a stereo. Additional fishing options include outriggers.
