Cobia’s new 301 replaces the company’s widely popular 296 CC and brings a number of topside enhancements. A new console with a slightly smaller footprint generates more cockpit space and walking room, yet it keeps the large forward entry to the head area.
The helm area also features a pod insert that allows owners to color-match the control station to the hull. The helm’s expansive face offers enough room for two 15-inch electronics multifunction displays.
Cobia fitted the top of the console with a lockable contents drawer; a three-sided acrylic windshield enclosure is an option.
Behind the standard deluxe helm seats, the top of the tackle station module now includes a freshwater sink and a sizable cooler for baits or drinks. The cooler lid and surrounding area create a rigging station and cutting board.
The aft hardtop legs each come with two rod holders within easy reach of the tackle station. The module also features two storage drawers and a tackle-tray system.
The 301 CC features an inward swinging side door for boarding ease and for hauling a sizable catch onto the deck for quick release or stowage.
