The new 253cc continues the same hybrid bay/offshore tradition as Everglades’ 243cc and 273cc models. The 24-foot-9-inch hull features 91 square feet of cockpit space, two aft fold-down seats that convert to a nonskid casting platform, lockable and cushioned rod storage forward, and a 69-gallon in-floor insulated fish box and 26-gallon livewell.
The 253cc comes with holders for two Yeti Hopper 20 coolers beneath the leaning post and a built-in 87-quart EverCooler under the forward console seat. A step-down head compartment and improved dash storage create extra convenience for crew members. Also at the helm, Everglades made room for dual 12-inch electronics displays.
In Yamaha performance testing, the 253 with a single F300 reached a top speed of 46 mph at 5,700 rpm, achieving 1.74 mpg. The boat reached 30 mph in 9.57 seconds. The most fuel-efficient cruise came in at 3,500 rpm, where the vessel reached 26 mph and 2.92 mpg.
