Furuno‘s third-generation FCV588 and FCV628 stand-alone fish finders now incorporate RezBoost technology. RezBoost, introduced in 2015, delivers new signal-processing technology for improved resolution (up to eight times sharper) and target separation when using conventional narrow-band transducers. The FCV588 (600 W/1 kW, 50/200 kHz) features an 8.4-inch display; the smaller FCV628 (600 W, 50/200 kHz) offers a 5.6-inch screen. These fish finders come with Furuno’s bottom discrimination, post-processing gain control and Accu-Fish functions. They cost $895 and $1,595.
