Garmin‘s new Nautix hands-free in-view display puts key navigational information, such as speed, water depth and water temperature, directly in a captain’s line of sight. Nautix attaches to most sunglasses and displays on the inside of the lens. It features eight hours of always-on battery life and a wet-weather-friendly touch panel for rotating between data displays. It weighs 1 ounce and can be mounted on the left or right side of the sunglass arm. Compatible chart plotters include Garmin’s GPSMap 7400/7600 series and the new GPSMap 8400/8600 series.
