Tai rods are available in 30- to 50-pound classes, and AJs come in 50- to 80-pound classes. Blanks are made from 24-ton Mitsubishi carbon base overwrapped with 30- and 40-ton carbon. Hanta uses Fuji tip tops, guides with silicon-carbide inserts, and Fuji reel seats custom-painted by Matagi in Japan. Tais cost $429, and AJs cost $442.
