Honda Marine has announced a new look for its redesigned BF75, BF90 and BF100 mid-range outboards, featuring the company’s “Crouching Form” design first introduced on its 4- to 6-hp models last year. The design suggests a wedge shape with the cowling front lower than the back.
Honda says all three models feature new rigging components, including a new digital multifunction display and a new tiller handle with a large shift lever, power tilt and trim and trolling control.
Four key design enhancements mean improved ease of routine maintenance and reliability for customers:
- an anode cover added to the engine’s water jacket for easy access to the anode metal
- a new thermostat case for easier thermostat replacement
- improved corrosion resistance of engine hardware
- an enhanced interface to the Honda Diagnostic System
In addition, Honda has expanded its line of white motors to include the BF150, BF200, BF225 and BF250. The company’s intelligent shift and throttle (iST) will now be available on BF200, BF225 and BF250 engines.
