Lowrance‘s Elite CHIRP line of multifunction displays now includes a 9-inch version — the Elite-9 CHIRP — to complement the existing 4-, 5- and 7-inch models. The new unit comes with a widescreen SolarMax Plus display for enhanced viewability. It features a built-in GPS antenna and charts with coastal contours to 1,000 feet. (The unit is also compatible with Navionics and C-Map charts.) When combined with an HDI Skimmer transducer, the Elite-9 CHIRP can display DownScan Imaging. The unit costs $1,399 with an 83/200 kHz transducer or $1,599 with a 50/200 kHz transducer.
