Shimano combined its Spiral X and Hi-Power X blank technologies to create five models of Ocea Plugger Flex Limited spinning rods. These two-piece sticks were created for casting the company’s Orca pencil baits and poppers to tuna, yellowtail and dorado. Ranging in length from 7 feet 10 inches to 8 feet 6 inches, the rods are rated for 30- to 65-pound braid and 2- to 4.6-ounce lures. All feature Fuji tangle-free SiC K guides and cost $599.99.
