Caymas Boats, founded in 2018, boasts 40 years of innovation. That’s backed up by a development team whose members average 30 years’ experience in fiberglass manufacturing.
The company makes freshwater and saltwater boats, the latter featuring the Michael Peters-designed, patented Stepped Vee Ventilated Tunnel hull, a revolutionary, drag-reducing design that produces increased speed, enhanced fuel economy, and a remarkably soft, dry ride in heavy seas.
The company, located in Ashland City, Tennessee, pledges superior customer service, a lifetime hull warranty, innovation, superb fit-and-finish, and quality control ensured by a sea trial and exhaustive checklist applied to every boat before it leaves the climate-controlled factory.
Caymas 401 CC
The new Caymas 401 CC is designed for serious saltwater-tournament anglers, the company says, as well as discriminating weekend anglers and their families.
For those hardcore anglers, the 401 CC boasts a massive cockpit, with optional port and starboard dive doors. There’s also plenty of fishing space and access for boating fish.
The leaning post provides ample rod and tackle storage, plus rear-facing mezzanine seating. The transom contains two 45-gallon livewells, served by premium Hooker Electric pumps and sea chest; that’s enough to match the needs of 96 percent of offshore CC anglers. Five fish boxes total 450 gallons of insulated storage. Lockable rod storage will please the 26 percent of respondents who call that feature important.
A hatch in the hardtop makes passage for an upper station easy while retaining traditional rod-holder placement and storage; an optional second station is available. Three helm seats serve the helm itself, whose dash accommodates dual 22-inch or triple 17-inch displays, plus additional electronics. The console cabin has an enclosed head and berth .
The bow offers several seating options; 40 percent of CC survey respondents say bow seating’s important to them. The forward chaise longue contains a 15-gallon insulated cooler and 75 gallons of dry storage.
Select triple or quad engines, up to 1,800 hp. Options include Seakeeper 3 gyroscopic stabilization, diesel generator and air conditioning.
