Simrad HALO20 and HALO20+ pulse-compression radomes offer high-quality radar detection built into 20-inch, 13-pound packages. Designed with today’s coastal bay boats in mind, the new units offer 24 nm (HALO20) and 36 nm (HALO20+) ranges. The HALO20+ also features a 60-rpm rotation rate at ranges up to 1½ nm, an industry first, as well as features such as VelocityTrack, bird mode and dual-range operation. Both radars offer MARPA target tracking, instant-on technology and multiple operation modes. HALO20 costs $1,699, and HALO20+ costs $2,199.
