Penn has upgraded its Fierce line of spinning reels, creating the Fierce III with a full-metal body and HT-100 carbon-fiber drag system. The reel comes with a superline spool and four stainless-steel bearings. The seven new reel models range in size from a 2000 to an 8000, which retrieves 44 inches of line per crank. They cost $59.95 to $139.99. Fierce III reels also come in four Live Liner models that cost $89.95 to $119.95.
