Penn has updated the Prevail inshore rod series, debuting the new Prevail II, which features ergonomic Winn grips and Penn’s Dura-Guides. The pure-graphite blanks feature a graphite reel seat, and a durable rubber gimbal on select models. The rods come in spinning and casting models and in 7- or 7½-foot lengths with fast or extra fast actions. Line ratings include 6- to 12-, 8- to 15-, 10- to 17-, 12- to 20- and 15- to 30-pound. The Prevail II rods cost $79.95 to $89.95.
